illuno

About

The middleman was the product. We cut it out.

illuno is the marketplace for vetted off-duty law-enforcement officers: active or certified retired, identity verified. Businesses and coordinators run the work. We handle pay, insurance, and the paper trail. Built for security, traffic control, events, and other on-site coverage. Not for black-box staffing chains.

What we are. What we are not.

We are

  • A marketplace

Businesses, coordinators, and officers meet on one platform. The work is posted, claimed, and paid in the open.

  • Vetted law enforcement

Active or certified retired officers only. Identity verified before they see a shift. Not a mixed private-guard pool.

  • Pay and insurance included

We collect from the customer, pay officers and coordinators, and carry insurance on the work so that risk is not on your balance sheet.

  • Clear rates on every shift

Coordinators set the rate. Customers approve it. Officers see the same number when they claim the shift. Same figure on the invoice.

We are not

  • Not a guard company

We do not send generic security staff. Coverage is identity-verified law enforcement, active or certified retired.

  • Not a black-box vendor

No mystery markup chain and no “we will send someone.” You see rates, fills, and the record.

  • Not “settle up yourself”

Coordinators should not float officer pay or hunt insurance. That is the platform’s job.

  • Not phone tag as a product

The old model lived on returned calls and subcontractors. We replace that machinery, not dress it up.

Why we built it

Everyone in this industry already knew the process was broken.

Ask a venue or site operator how they book off-duty coverage and you get a sigh, then a story: calls that do not get returned, a staffing company that subcontracts to a subcontractor, and a stranger at the gate an hour before doors. Ask an officer about off-duty work and you get the mirror: word-of-mouth shifts, opaque rates, and chasing checks for work already done.

Coordinators were stuck too: floating pay, hunting insurance, turning down jobs they could not staff safely. The chain in the middle was the business model. We built the version without it. Identity-verified officers. Coordinators who set rates. Businesses who approve and post. illuno collecting, paying, and insuring so the middle of the market is not a black box.

How it works

From event to paid shift.

  1. Step 01

    Business creates the event

Venue, dates, and shifts. Submit for coordinator approval.

  2. Step 02

    Coordinator sets the rate

They approve the work and return a clear cost breakdown.

  3. Step 03

    Customer approves and posts

Accept the rate, post to qualified officers, watch fill status live.

  4. Step 04

Officers claim. We pay and insure.

Shifts claim in order. illuno handles collection, disbursement, and insurance.

What we hold to

Vetted means vetted

Active or certified retired law enforcement only. Identity verified before they see a shift. Dilute that standard and illuno is just another staffing pool.

The rate is the rate

The rate on the shift is the rate that gets paid: set with the coordinator, approved by the customer, shown to the officer, same number on the invoice.

Minutes, not phone tag

Every process we ship is measured the same way: how many calls it replaced, and how much faster the shift got covered.

Every side is a customer

Businesses, officers, and coordinators all have to win. A marketplace that squeezes one side to please another dies slowly.

See it for yourself.

Businesses can sign up. Everyone else: book a short call and we will walk you through the right path.
